Emerald Health Therapeutics joint venture, Pure Sunfarms, continues to move towards achieving its goal of large-scale, high-quality, low-cost cannabis production. On July 27, 2018, Pure Sunfarms received its cannabis sales license from Health Canada. Additional space continues to be developed for cannabis production at the Pure Sunfarms’ 1.1 million-square foot (25-acre) greenhouse facility located on a 50-acre parcel of land in Delta, British Columbia, with the entire 1.1 million square foot Delta 3 site expected to be in production in 2019. The Company has entered into a supply agreement with Pure Sunfarms whereby the Company has agreed to purchase 40% of Pure Sunfarms’ production in 2018 and 2019 at a set price per gram.

Last week Emerald Health said Pure Sunfarms received an amendment from Health Canada that permits Pure Sunfarms to expand its cannabis production area to 550,000 square feet – half of the 1.1 million square foot Delta 3 production facility. The newly licensed area is expected to be in full production by mid-October of this year.
In May the company acquired Agro-Biotech for total consideration of $90 million. Agro-Biotech is a Licensed Producer under the ACMPR located in Saint-Eustache, Quebec. Agro-Biotech’s assets include land and a 75,000 square foot indoor grow facility. Agro-Biotech has built out 20,000 square feet of this facility to date and Emerald expects to have the remainder of the 75,000 square foot facility equipped to produce high quality dried cannabis flower and be fully operational by early 2019.
As we get closer to October 17 Emerald Health closed several supplier agreements; they were selected as an approved supplier by the Ontario Cannabis Retail Corporation, operating as the Cannabis Retail Store, to supply the province of Ontario with its cannabis products in anticipation of the adult-use market. The Company was also selected as an authorized cannabis supplier by the Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation to supply cannabis products to the NLC and serve the adult-use market throughout the province of Newfoundland Labrador starting October 17.

Currently trading at a $573 million market valuation Emerald Health has $89 million in the treasury, manageable debt and growing revenues reporting 373,218 for the 3 months ended March 31, 2018 up from $201,268 for the same period last year. Emerald Health is a Licensed Producer and they own 50% of Pure Sunfarms, which is converting a licensed existing 1.1 million square foot greenhouse in Delta, BC, and is in commercial production.
