Cannabis is a great place to be; according to a recent report from Arcview Market Research and its research partner BDS Analytics, over the next 10 years, the legal cannabis industry will see much progress around the globe and spending on legal cannabis worldwide is expected to hit $57 billion by 2027. The adult-use (recreational) market will cover 67% of the spending; medical marijuana will take up the remaining 33%. The largest group of cannabis buyers will be in North America, going from $9.2 billion in 2017 to $47.3 billion a decade later. Of course much of this hinges on how laws progress.

Ravenquest Biomed is involved in a number of exciting projects; company CEO George Robinson recently commented “We are based currently in Markham, Ontario and thats a 20,000 sq. foot facility and we are also located in Edmonton, Alberta where we have a 35,000 sq. foot facility. Out of these two we will get about 11,000 pounds of production which normally would take 60 to 90,000 sq feet for that. Our further buildout is our indigenous peoples work that we are doing within our four pillars and we have a facility of 250,000 sq. feet going into construction right now in Ft. McMurray and then we have another facility of ours out in Sunshine Coast of British Colombia which will be 125,000 sq feet all using the exact same technology so what we have is a real repeatable process here.”
RavenQuest’s automated Orbital Garden 2.0 innovation is a potential game changer that they are maximizing the productivity of grow space and lighting. They systems involves a rotational system where the plants move in a circular motion around a center bulb. The orbital gardens dimensions are 4 feet wide x 4 feet tall, and 9 feet long, with a total inner growing surface of 82 square feet, but with a floor-space footprint of only 32 square feet. One can also stack the orbital gardens, their current 6-pack method is where they are stacked two units wide and three units high. This gives roughly 500 square feet of growing surface in a floor space of roughly ~70 square feet.
The Company is led by George Robinson who has been active as a legal advisor to many licensed cannabis producers for several years. He has been instrumental in helping dozens of LPs surpass the rigorous Health Canada licensing standards, and is seen by many as a visionary with in-depth understanding of the myriad aspects of this burgeoning industry.

Last year Ravenquest entered into a landmark research partnership with Montreal’s McGill University, focused upon three key issues facing the cannabis industry: Cannabis Cultivar Recognition & Identification, Cannabis Plant Stabilization and Cannabis Cultivation and Yield Improvements. CEO George Robinson recently commented “We look at it like this, if you want great food start with great ingredients, if you want a great whine, start with a good grape. We want to start off with a really good plant so that’s why we are using McGill University to help us out with creating a really great plant and a sustainable plant and a plant that will express itself the exact same way every time. That we start off with the right ingredient for that great meal. So in that case then we will move off into our processing and turn it into an end product that we think are some really awesome ideas that come a year from legalization the worlds going to be excited to have an to try.”
