Xebra Brands Ltd (OTCMKTS: XBRAF) Heats Up as Cos Cannabis Cultivation in the Netherlands & Desart MX, SA First-Mover-Advantage in Mexico Gain Traction

Xebra Brands Ltd (OTCMKTS: XBRAF) is making a powerful run northbound taking off out of the double zeroes on Friday, a day after the Senate unanimously approved “the Cannabidiol and Marihuana Research Expansion Act” which cleared the full chamber without debate. The bill streamlines the application process for researchers who want to study the plant and encourages the FDA to develop cannabis-derived medicines. Advocates and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the formal introduction of the Cannabis Administration & Opportunity Act (CAOA) which will decriminalize marijuana at the federal level.

Xebra Brands has been making big moves in cannabis ever since listing on the US capital markets as XBRAF earlier this year; the Company’s cannabis cultivation in the Netherlands is in the flowering stage, as Xebra readies to harvest and submit samples of its crop to Dutch authorities, by the end of March. Two samples will be delivered, one with high THC ±22%, and one with balanced THC ±6% and CBD± 8%. As 1 of only 5 companies to be selected by the Dutch government to participate in a medicinal cannabis cultivation pilot trial, Xebra is endeavoring to be awarded 1 of 2 licenses, with a contract for up to 6 years, providing for revenues of up to ~US$80 million (€70.5 million), to co-supply all pharma-grade cannabis to be sold through pharmacies in the Netherlands. Xebra also acquired Desart MX, SA de CV which has been granted an injunction by the Mexican Supreme Court, that has positioned it with an outright first-mover-advantage in the Mexican CBD and CBG market. Official licenses will be granted by the Mexican Health Regulatory Agency (COFEPRIS) in due-course.  The Supreme Court decision is irrevocable and cannot be appealed. Xebra is moving quickly to take advantage of its absolute first mover advantage. Discussions are underway to secure up to 300 hectares of suitable land for cultivation, and multiple Canadian and American companies with cannabis processing and extraction expertise have expressed an interest in partnering in Mexico.

Xebra Brands Ltd (OTCMKTS: XBRAF) is a Canadian producer of cannabis products, focusing mainly on the design and delivery of cannabis products in areas ranging from wellness, leisure to beverages for sale globally where cannabis is legal or on a path to legalization. The Company is launching a line of beverages under a number of different brand names including MADCAP soft drinks, and the slogan Crazy Good, HOLAHI iced teas and the slogan It’s High Time, HIGHJACK energy drinks, and the slogan Enjoy the Trip, VICIOUS CITRUS lemonades, and the slogan Lemonade for Renegades, HIGHCASTLE waters, and the slogan Drink Like a King, and Xebra’s CBD sports drink CONQUER. Recently the Company was granted trademarks in Latin American and the European Union, covering 28 countries and 10 territories, for Xebra’s THC and CBD infused beverage brands.

The Company has developed a clinically-backed, patent pending cannabinoid emulsion technology, Solutech™; to transform cannabis extracts into shelf-stable clear and odourless, water-soluble forms, ideal for the infusion of beverages, edibles and topicals. Many options were evaluated globally for cannabinoid delivery IP, and Xebra identified only one that has undergone human testing – Solutech™. Recently the Company licensed this technology to New Age Nanotech.

Earlier this year the Company acquired Desart MX, SA de CV which has been granted an injunction by the Mexican Supreme Court, that has positioned it with an outright first-mover-advantage in the Mexican CBD and CBG market. Manufacturing joint-venture opportunities with established Mexican parties have been identified, and distribution channels are being explored.
